Apply correct flexbox styling to .pane > .item-views > *
...
Markdown preview was overflowing because the min-height of flexbox
items is automatically set to min-content. Setting it to 0 ensures that
the item doesn't expand beyond its flex size. Moving this styling to
atom.css ensures that people don't have to work too hard to fit
their views into panes.

Set font-size of fold marker to .8em

This keeps the line height of the gutter the same
as the line height of the editor for folded lines.

Remove increased font size for fold elipses
...
Making them bigger looks good, but also makes lines with these fold
markers taller than typical lines, which throws off the positioning
of everything below them.

Switch to new flexbox spec to improve redraw performance
...
With the old flexbox, whenever we updated the status bar, other flex
items in the pane (such as the tabs and the *entire* editor) were
getting repainted, which was taking 10x longer than it needed to. This
newer flexbox spec seems to be implemented in a more performant way.

Previously no gutter highlight was displayed unless

Now there is a separate CSS class for no selection
that changes the background color independently

Scrolling does not jerk to a stop when scrolling w/ a trackpad
...
When scrolling with a trackpad, webkit repeatedly triggers multiple mousewheel events on the original event's target element to simulate the velocity effect we're accustomed to with touchscreen UIs. When scrolling quickly, this clashed with our strategy of removing off-screen lines, because the element was removed before the velocity were done firing.
The solution is to make the overlayer accept mouse events. It lays on top of all the lines, so it is never removed and therefore allows the mousewheel events to run to completion. But, this means we need to transfer mousedown events from the overlayer to the underlying lines.

The renderedLines div can now only contain actual lines, nothing else. Thes divs are designed to match the lines div in dimensions and make it easy to put things in front of or behind the text.
