Describe the bug
When attempting to import a new format Google Takeout document into reitti, the application reports that it recognized data points but fails to actually import the data. Specifically, data from November 2023 to present is missing from the import despite being present in the source file.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to reitti application
  2. Navigate to import functionality
  3. Select Google Takeout JSON file containing location history
  4. Initiate import process
  5. Observe that import completes with message indicating data points were recognized
  6. Check imported data - notice that recent data (November 2023 onwards) is missing

Expected behavior
All location data present in the Google Takeout JSON file should be successfully imported into reitti, including recent data from November 2023 to current date.

Screenshots
N/A - Unable to provide screenshots due to UI limitations and privacy concerns with location data.

Additional context

  • The Google Takeout JSON file contains location data spanning a long date range
  • Due to UI limitations and the extensive date range, it's difficult to confirm if any data is imported at all, but it's certain that data from November 2023 to present is missing
  • Possible cause: The data points appear to be present in the "semanticSegments" section of the JSON file, but the "rawSignals" section does not include the same date range. This discrepancy may be causing the import failure
  • The JSON file contains sensitive location data including home address and will be emailed directly to the developer rather than attached to the public bug report
